According to the NASUWT Teachers Union, One in four teachers in the UK say they experience physical violence from their pupils at least once a week, and many say poor behaviour is making them want to leave the profession, according to figures compiled by a teaching union.

How does it work?
The App is easy to use, and once configured to your school environment, it will provide teachers with help at the push of a button. When a situation arises the teacher uses the safety feature, which automatically alerts up to the closest ten trained staff members to assist in handling the incident.
GPS technology can pinpoint exactly where the teacher is on or off (Excursion) the school grounds to ensure a quick response. At the same time it will call a nominated phone number and send an email to a nominated email address.

At the press of the button a Head of School staff member (Principal / Deputy) can send a notification to every staff member notifying them of a lockdown.

All incidents are recorded for incident based reporting. Includes Date, Time, staff involvement and location.
Schools can create custom schedules to cover on school activities, off ground activities and holiday periods.
After hours staff such as Cleaners and Gardeners can also be incorporated into the solution.

What is the Price of the Wihkum School Solution?
The School pays a monthly subscription fee based on total staff numbers. Pricing can range from $2 to $4 per user. Once the school has submitted an application, a Safe Watch Global representative will be touch to discuss pricing. The app is free for staff to download.
Are staff being tracked?
Yes, the app will track staff based on nominated school hours.
Is my location visible for all to see?
No one has access to your location unless you activate the app for Help. Once activated, trained staff and Admin will be notified of your location so that Help can be sent to you as quickly as possible.
What sort of Phone do I need?
Any smart phone that is supported by Apple or Android platforms.
Will it work on Weekends?
No the app will only work during the nominated School hours unless you are support staff such as gardeners and cleaners.
Who is notified if I press the button?
Nominated staff that are trained to respond will be notified by either phone call, push notification and email.
Who has access to the Lockdown and Evacuate buttons?
Only Master staff have access to the Lockdown and Evacuate buttons. Normally Principals, Deputy Principals are considered Master users.
What happens when the Lockdown or Evacuate Button is pressed?
An audible push notification will be sent to every staff member that has been associated with that school.
Does the app use a lot of data?
The app uses about 3 to 5 MB per month, this is equivalent to average MP3 file.
